Description

At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:

  1. Differentiate Between the Clinical Features and Diagnostic Criteria of ADHD and ASD
    Learners will be able to identify key symptoms, developmental patterns, and diagnostic tools for ADHD and ASD, including how to distinguish overlapping traits and recognize comorbid presentations.
  2. Evaluate Evidence-Based Treatment Strategies for ADHD and ASD, Including Comorbid Cases
    Learners will understand pharmacologic and behavioral interventions for ADHD and ASD, assess medication efficacy and side effects, and apply tailored approaches for children with dual diagnoses.
  3. Analyze the Genetic, Environmental, and Developmental Risk Factors Associated with ADHD and ASD
    Learners will explore the epidemiology, historical context, and biological underpinnings of both disorders, and understand how early detection and intervention can improve long-term outcomes.

ACCREDITATION

The Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. POMA designates this activity for a maximum of 1 Category 1-A AOA CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits to the AOA commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
